It's simply hard to process, emotional overload, and a single tear falls down his face as Thor speaks so honestly and his hand comes to his neck again. Something that for most, would be a threat. But with Thor, it is a show of warmth and love. An intimate gesture indeed. And Loki wonders then, how bad this fall is for him in the future. It's clear that his father doesn't say the words that Loki needs him to hear, but he wonders now, if he should let Thor at least try.
