Chapter Twenty-Three :: Accidental Video

[When the feed clicks on it's falling down a set of stairs to the landing, camera pointed up. Lavi pauses on the stairs - a tower of books over his head in hand - and looks over his shoulder, frowning.]

Why did I put you on the top of the stack anyway? [Sighs and looks at the books in his hands then at the device.]

I'll come back for you, not like anyone's going to steal you.

[Walking up the stairs again and disappearing out of view.]

[S'ok, she's....kind of used to it. This isn't as difficult as some of the things she's used it for before either.]

Do you want me to try and take them back now, or should we just maybe focus on getting everything we want out of the library, and transporting from there?

The latter might be a good idea, then we'll have an idea of how many trips we might need to make if we go over. [Not that he's insinuating anything. He doesn't want you to strain yourself.]

Think we should get some children's books for Alma?

[Nah, it's ok. She's gonna take her dark-energy stack of books and drop them carefully just outside of the library, somewhere relatively dry and sheltered, then return. Mundane, but it all works.]

How old is he? I'm sure he'd like them, if only to try and talk about what he read with others.

[No, that is not a smile under the cowl...alright, yes it is. The Chibi is adorable, and got on Rae's good side easily.]

He's about ten or eleven years old, I've never asked him his age.

It's certainly not a bad thing...he was...really nice and helpful when I first arrived.

[Yeah, Alma definitely made a good impression on Raven.]

Any idea what he'd enjoy? Which section are we transporting next.

I think he likes fairy tales and that sort of thing. [Lavi's in the how to area though and pulling a few more books out.]

Russian ones can be fairly dark...

[Soon as the books are out, assuming he doesn't want to carry them, they get engulfed in dark-energy and will be carried.]

I'm hoping they put some translated ones like the Grimms in here.

The directory is all caught up - in Russian - so I've got an idea of where we need to go.
