His Butler, New -- Sebastian Michaelis [Accidental Video]

[A rustle of material and debris, followed by a firm crunch are the first things to register within the device. Only the sky is seen until the sudden form of a black butler appears. Gloves wander down his form, dusting away any hinderance to his perfect appearance. When he is spotless, fingers slip into the folds of a small pocket, pulling out a pocket watch and with a small click, it opens to rest delicately against gloved white fingers. He lightly sighs]

Oh my. I'm certainly going to be late. [The demon doesn't seem all that displeased as he looks around for any signs of activity, life, or sign that'll form him of his location except of course for the smell, to which the back of his hand with gingerly cover his sensitive nose. Crimson eyes fall upon the device and he's soon bending down to retreive it, tail coats absently brushing the ground. He taps it once, blinking in mild surprise and then curiousity when it reacts to his touch.] Ah, it would be less annoying to at least let me know the rules of this game that brat is playing.

[For now, he'll continue tinkering with this device, switching it from video to audio to text over and over again unintentionally]

It's easier to demonstrate various uses of it in person, as some of it will require me showing you on the device itself, not via the video-function, as things are now. If you can, just pan the device's screen--the thing I'm visible on--around, and I can get some idea I think from that.

[He'd just explore the little area he was around, giving a rather disdain sigh]

[Ok, so it took longer to walk than to fly, but that was ok with Raven. Things were...strange in this place, and she couldn't get a proper read on just what was wrong. Yet. Still, he probably wouldn't be hard to find.

10 minutes later, she was in the area, looking around for the well-dressed taller gentleman. Approaching carefully once she spotted him, bundled up in the concealing blue cloak and her deep cowl.]

Charming place, isn't it?

[Dry sarcasm in her voice.]

[He shook his head, looking around when she arrived at the air. The air was thick with the smell of death and it wasn't pleasent at all to his nose. He bowed a little when she arrived, resting his hand to his chest]

I wouldn't call it charming.

[Well...that was new. Kind of nice, too, really. The place wasn't kind to her empathic senses either, speaking to part of her soul unpleasantly.]

Unfamiliar with sarcasm?

Oh? That was sarcasm?

[He wasn't really concerned if it was or wasn't, but he held out his communicator for a lesson]

[Gee, funny...Raven didn't bother to dignify that with a response. Moving closer, and ignoring that he was taller--everyone was taller really, as she took the device but held it so that he could see.]

So, where I'm from, devices like these are used as communicators, which seems to be the same use it has here. Messages can be sent from one device to the other, using something that's quite a bit more advanced, but not unlike radio waves, if that's familiar to you. If that isn't, I can try to think of an older analogy.

It's powered with electricity; both to use the various functions and for the device's operation itself. As a communication device, it's capable of sending and receiving messages in a text form, like a letter transmitted instantly to its recipient, or by an audio or video function. The Audio function just transmits a message using voice and sound, while the video presents a moving picture--like we were speaking earlier.

[Trying to both not insult his potential intelligence, as well as covering the general range of what the device was, and its functions. She couldn't quite tell when or where he might be from, so best to start generally.]

Please, don't hesitate to ask if I'm going too fast, or not explaining something well, Mr. Sebastian...

[Sebastian invaded her personal space rather easily, leaning over her to watch as he let her take it into her tiny hands if need be. He was an adult so of course he had some height difference.

He nodded, listening intently.] No, it isn't too fast. I learn quickly as long as I am shown a few times, Miss Raven.

[She was hardly a child, hints seen beneath the blue cloak as she handled the device--a young woman, but not an adult yet. And in clothing that would scandalize any victorian, although she'd added a baggy sweater against the cold, that acted like a short dress.]

Glad to hear it--so yes, I suggest if you're not actively using it, you keep it off to conserve power. It can be recharged, likely you'll find the way to do that at the place you're designated to stay, if she's given you an apartment number yet. That's accomplished by doing this.

[Demonstrating and turning the device on and off. She proceeded to demonstrate how to switch between the various functions, and what each one did. Pulling out her own device, to use as an example for him.]

[Sebastian wouldn't notice unless he eyed it on accident. As a butler he was noted to keep his eyes above the waist line unless looking down at the shoes, and still, it was not a detail a butler should look at, but a handmaiden.]

That is true. I have been given an apartment number. [He mimics her in turning it on and off to ensure he has it]

[Handing him the device back, just wanting to make sure she covered all the basics.]

[Not that she was normally that helpful, but...better to continue learning the lay of the land, and easiest way to do that was to teach someone else.]

[He understood. It was his job to be helpful but he'd avoid it if possible especially since he planned on leaving as soon as possible]

[Raven blinked...that was new...before taking it hesitantly. Shy, because she wasn't used to it--even if it was simply manners.]

It's not as if you could miss the building, as it's the best cared for in Nesreca...but sometimes it's easier to have a guide. Apparently someone's trying to fix up the library as much as they can too.

Alma showed me at least the basics when I arrived, so a guide makes some things easier yes. Lavi was the one who made the introduction video, yes? I might have to see about talking to him sometime...and the library is definitely on my list of places to go.

[It wasn't a far walk, all told--she knew where she was going. The apartment building was fairly obvious too, as it was actually in decent repair compared to many of the buildings in Nesreca.]

[Sebastian had to raise a brow at the ill fortune of the buildings around the most noticable one. It was unfortunate but it was what would do for now. He didn't have to worry about something finer for his master because there simply wouldn't be one if he ever turned up here.]
