[Becca stares down at the device in her hands, a puzzled expression on her face.]

Is this Hell? But... I'm not dead yet. I've got another week yet... Or did I forget my last days on earth? I don't...get it. I don't get it at all. Where is everybody? And what do I do now?

[She hopes that people will take pity on her and help her because she's fifteen and pathetic-looking. That and her massive entitlement complex, but that's another matter in and of itself.]

[Yukio looks between Rin and Becca, swallowing hard and forcing himself to chill out. He just got her calm again. Do not want another panic attack.]

I was going to treat her for injuries.

[Oh yeah.Her back did look messed up in that quick glance he got and Yukio is a doctor...Good job Rin assuming things like that. He lowers his hand and stuff the both of them in his pockets. Now he's really blushing for letting his mind wander off the deep end like that. ]

Yeah whatever. Looked bad. Who are ya anyways?

[She winces when he confirms that he had indeed seen her injuries. But she's calming down now that he's not yelling. She gulps down a bit more air, then nods awkwardly.]

B-Becca. You...must be Okumura's brother?

[Yukio sighs and gestures loosely to his brother.]

This is Rin.

Yeah. I'm his brother. His older brother. [He jabs his thumb proudly at his chest, tail swishing back and forth.]

You gotta be new.

[That swishing tail gets her attention. Her mouth falls open, and she stares.]

You have a tail!

[Well, eff. Siiiiiiigh.]

... Yes, he does.

Uhh...Yeah.

[Oops. He's gotten so use to no one caring that he hasn't been bothering to hide it. Time to be nervous. He grabs his tail near the end and holds it out of sight behind his back. An exaggerated stupid smile spreads over his face.]

It ain't a big deal...Really!

Why do you have a tail?

[.... Ugh. Well, might as well explain it to her properly since Rin's not bothering to hide anymore.]

Where we come from, it's not uncommon for some people to have some demonic lineage or the physical alterations that come with it.

[Nice save Yukio! Rin glances between the two of them to gage the girls reaction.]

It's not that weird.

[Yes it is, but not quite as much so as some of the things he's seen around.]

[She's not bothered by it, just surprised.]

[Yukio just smiles. He very much likes it when everyone in the room is calm.]

Guess it is. [Grinning proudly again. He lets his tail go so it can go back to swishing contently back and forth.]

[She turns to Yukio.]

Okumura, do you have a tail, too?

[doctor_dragoon]

[He shakes his head.] That particular trait didn't pass to me.

[Just gonna listen in now. He's not sure what, if anything, he should say about it.]

So uhm... I'll just... If you've got like...some burn cream, I guess I'll take it and go....

[There's no way she'll be able to reach where some of those burns are.]

[Trying so hard not to go red again. And it's kinda working. Sort of.]

[To Becca:] If you don't mind, of course.

[Insert sly grin here. Rin turns to leave and waves a hand in the sir as he goes.]

Yeah ok. We'll give you guys some alone time. Nice meeting' ya.

[He snorts to himself at his joke.]

C'mon Kuro we've got something' to do anyways.

[Kuro follows after Rin and steps out of sight just as Rin's tail disappears around the corner and the door clicks shut.]

[Oh, that just gets a big ol' blush from Becca, Rin. So mean! She stares down at the floor.]

I uh...yeah... Nice meeting you...

[She's too embarrassed to acknowledge you, Yukio, but her staying put is tacit agreement.]

Nii-san! [Yukio hisses after Rin as the door shuts, sighing heavily once his brother is out of sight.]
