015 . : Okumura Yukio [MEMORY/ACTION]

Sensei!

[A girl in a traditional kimono with short-cropped blond hair hurries down the stairs toward Yukio. He's a brand new exorcist and younger than Nesreca residents have ever seen him, perhaps thirteen, but aside from a rounder face and larger glasses? He looks very much the same. The girl stops in front of Yukio and thrusts a hand out toward him. She's holding a four leaf clover.]

It's a charm. Be careful at work, okay?

[Yukio flushes and awkwardly accepts the gift, offering his thanks before casting a glance to one side. Standing further down the staircase is a man some residents might recognize as Fujimoto Shiro, Yukio's adoptive father. The old man is wearing a knowing grin, and the young exorcist immediately begins to fluster.]

Agh! Um... Calling me "Sensei" is weird, so call me something more casual. For example...

Yuki-chan! [The girl throws out her choice quickly, blushing as well, but continuing on with no shame.] How about "Yuki-chan"?

[Yukio scrubs at the back of his head with one hand, a reluctant little smile creeping onto his face.]

Um... It's cute, and really... great.

[The memory shifts in location and tone. Yukio (now two years older) is sitting on the edge of a fairly lush canopy bed, but it's obvious in his expression and posture that he's not there to relax. There are several teenagers his age seated on ottomans around him (including one who is obviously an older version of the blond girl from the first memory), all of them wearing expressions of confusion, some even tinged with fear. They're looking to Yukio like students to a teacher... which, of course, he is, at least to them.

Age means very little when you've proved yourself time and time again the way Yukio has, and when he speaks it's with the practiced, formal tone an instructor would use.]

Okumura-kun, or rather... Okumura Rin was born fifteen years ago to a human woman and a host who was possessed by Satan. Nii-san has the blue flames of Satan.

[The shock of that revelation is obvious on the faces of his small audience, and one bespectacled boy with a shaven head speaks up hesitantly.]

But aren't you... his twin brother?

[Yukio nods minutely, shoulders hunched and his hands clasped in front of him.]

I didn't inherit the flames. I undergo medical examinations every day, but for some reason I'm normal.

[The feed cuts abruptly.]

[ACTION]

[The first memory is a mostly happy one for Yukio. One he hasn't looked back on in some time, but whatever peace his first meeting with Shiemi brought him was dashed by the revelations of memory number two. It's a secret he's been keeping from the residents of Nesreca since day one. No, he doesn't carry the same flames that his brother once did. He's not a threat, but how do you explain that you're biologically the son of Satan?

He's done it once before already, and he never wanted to have to do it here.

Following the airing of his memories Yukio retreats to the armory on the second floor. There's always cleaning and reorganizing to do, after all, but he leaves the door open and his PDA on. If anyone has questions, they deserve answers, but he's hoping everyone will be as accepting of this new information as they always were of Rin's flames.]

[It sounds close enough...which is what Raven wanted. She's familiar enough with many different mythos.]

I'm...sorry to make this so awkward.

[It's breathed out, and the inflection is sincere, as she really is. And she's worried herself, but Yukio will understand...he has to.]

I'm like you and Rin. In...that respect.

[Sinking down, still leaning on the door, kind of curling up on herself.]

My...father, is a demon known as Trigon...but usually he's referred to by a pseudonym, Scath. He's...feared across the galaxy and dimensions.

[Yeah...not...easy to talk about at all.]

He's...why my mother, Arella, fled to Azarath, where I was born. They could help teach me, so I wouldn't turn out like him.

[Have a very faint smile--kinship--in return, before it falters again.]

Part of why...I have to stay so calm. I have to keep myself in control, as my emotions fuel my powers...and my powers...come from the half that is his.

[There's a sigh. At least the initial difficulty is over with.]

Being here...is a mixed blessing. Aside from hallucinations--I've felt or seen nothing that indicates he can touch me here...and that's good!

[Quite a bit of vehemence on that statement, more than normal.]

I...wanted you to know, you aren't alone though. Beyond just having friends here. I...get it.

[Have another, very very faint smile. This hadn't been easy, but...he knew now. It hopefully would help them both.]

Promise me one thing, Okumura-san...

[And back to solemn again.]

If I EVER become his creature...kill me. You won't hesitate, and you can. So...please do.

[Despite the solemn topic, have a genuine, real, relieved smile. It's kind of amazing what Raven looks like when she smiles. There is a very grateful breathed out "Thank you..." as well. Then a few minutes of quiet, before they speak again.]

I imagine it wasn't easy to go through that, but Rin is lucky to have your support. I also hope you had good friends to support YOU through that ordeal.
