[The feed clicks on as a child's socked foot carelessly shifts by it. Said foot is quickly tucked beneath the child it belongs to and the PDA is paid absolutely zero attention. There are far more important things happening here.

Alma's sitting cross-legged on his bed with his new Gameboy (thanks Lavi) clutched in his hands. He's focused on that little screen like only a child can be, face barely five inches away and his tongue sticking out from between his lips. There's no tinny-sounding music to go by since the boy's somehow acquired a simple set of headphones, but if the expression on his face is any clue? Whatever's going on is epic.]

C'mon, Bulbasaur, one more, one more... [Or maybe he's just reached his first gym leader.

He continues mumbling at the screen, tilting the game from side to side as if that will help him win, barely even blinking when his golem flutters over to settle in his shaggy hair. Tension builds in his shoulders as he approaches what must be the climax of... whatever it is he's doing. Thick eyebrows furrow and his mouth widens to form a tentative grin...

And suddenly his entire expression falls flat. He drops the game into his lap and slaps both hands over his face, obviously disgusted.]

Aw, c'mon! Brock, you're such a douchewaffle! Stupid jerk!

[Looks like somebody lost.]

[Loki miiight just be looming over his new B.F.F's shoulder after seeing the start of the video. Sorry Kanda. You shouldn't have let Alma become friends with a god. It only ends in trolling and unexpected visits. Whoops?]

You know you need to lead with razor leaf then vine whip... Never use tackle.

[Alma starts at the unexpected appearance, but quickly recovers and tugs the headphones off, pouting at the game in his lap.]

I did use razor leaf... Tackle worked just fine before!

How do you know so much about it? Did you get this game too?

[The older smiles down at Alma, moving to sit with him.]

I played it back home. Took a few hours but.. I managed to beat the whole game. I wanted to understand the jokes that were on the world wide web.

[Well, now that she has your attention, have someone coming over and just phasing on through the walls/door. She does it so rarely anyways, and hopefully he'll forgive her. Especially since she's bringing tea--not too hot, but hot enough--for them both.]

Do me a favor...don't insult waffles that way, as waffles are wonderful wonderful things. [Still said in her same deadpan tones, even if she's serious.]

The term...'douchewaffle', was insulting to waffles, even if you're using it to yell at Brock.

It's called Pokemon! You catch animals and make friends with them so you can explore the world.

I caught, um... four. Well, actually I caught three and Professor Oak gave me one.

[The cursing he obviously doesn't mind, Kanda doesn't have the cleanest mouth. THIS COMPANY, THOUGH... makes it a little harder to meditate. Oh well. One thing he won't do is ragequit his own room.

Though look at this Lavi, you crowded his room! At least Alma's having fun and has friends though.]

[Alma is the most popular twelve-year-old in the place! Hanging out with friends and playing video games... Congratulations, Kanda, you're succeeding at that give-Alma-a-normal-childhood thing.

Once the extra company clears out, though, Alma carefully stows his Gameboy away, smiling over at Kanda.]

Sorry about all the people, Yu. [He knows Kanda isn't all about visitors. The exorcist puts up with a lot of stuff to keep him happy.]

When Alma speaks, Kanda finally opens his eyes to look over at Alma. Really, he'd do anything to keep Alma happy.]

I wasn't expecting them to show up like that. [Not that he was bothered at all (especially by Loki, because Loki is cool people), but he's old enough to respect Kanda's preferences now and then.

The boy sighs, though happily. Even with the fresh digital loss, it's been a good day.]

... How come you meditate so much?

Nope. Usually I wait to play 'til it's too dark to be outside.
