5th Speculation: Information sought

So, from what I understand, Lavi and Sasuke are likely the best sources, but if anyone has any info, that would be helpful. I know there are places here rumored to be haunted, and then thare are places that are haunted. Does anyone know why? It's most likely related to why this place is the way it is anyways, but...I was wondering about more specific information.

See if there's anything that might be helpful in figuring out what happened.

...ah...I'm...sorry. I've lost my powers before too, and it's a difficult thing to deal with.

What are your powers like?

Kind of varied, in some ways. I was raised in another dimension...so...

They resemble telekinesis, mostly. I can also levitate. I meditate though, daily, to keep myself centered.

[All true--we'll just ignore that it's not the whole story, as there's no need to go into that really.]

That's amazing... Does meditating really help you with them?

[Tricky question, that. Yes and no. ^^]

Meditating helps me which helps me deal with them.

Did you have trouble with your abilities?

As much as I need them to function... I always hated them at the same time.

Understandable. There are times I hate mine too.

Powers suck in general, I think.

Some of them, and sometimes. It's like...any ability that makes one different. Or even just a part of 'living', I suppose. Everyone has days when they hate something about themselves. It doesn't have to be a special ability out of the ordinary, to make someone unhappy about it.

I guess. It's kind of stupid to hate something that's not actually hurting you, though.

People hate stupid stuff all the time, and fear it.

It's part of life, part of humanity really. It's also likely a lot of them see whatever it is they dislike, as hurting them--even if another person would disagree.

People don't know how good they have it.

True, and some would say you don't know how lucky you were to have precognition. Some would say you were lucky to have ONLY that, instead of many other things as well.

It's all about perspective, lots of times. That, and if someone can look at someone else's viewpoint and perspective. Put themselves in another's place, as it were.

Believe me, I can empathize. I've....been raised with the idea that after a certain birthday of mine, my father will come to Earth, using me as a portal, to destroy the world. Nothing I can do to prevent it. I've seen it, the visions, I know what's go come...

To us...it's a mixed bag, whether we hate our abilities. But to someone who hasn't had that, who doesn't think about the bad, as well as the good...they wouldn't see it the way we do.

I've grown up trying to find every way I can of preventing it, avoiding it... I've been part of a team, freelance superheroes...trying to do good, hoping maybe it'll counterbalance. My friends think it can be stopped, but...I don't have much hope.

Trust me, I get it...I'm just saying that not everyone would see the downsides, as well as the upsides, to abilities out of the norm.

....sometimes I'm not sure if that's better, or worse. I...honestly can't decide, if I regret ever getting close to them...or letting them close to me--because they'll suffer, or if I'd give up what good memories I've had with them, and spare them that.

[Yeah, not a happy thing choice there...either way.]

My overall point though, aside from that you're not alone in having a non-normal ability, was that a lot of times it also depends on one's perspective. See the world from someone else's eyes and view.

Yeah... I... I understand that feeling. I try not to make friends at home because I know I'll die soon. But I get so lonely...

Anybody who thinks powers are awesome is just dumb, though.

Believe me, I know the 'lonely' feeling too...it's only been the past year, that I've had those friends.

And no, someone thinking that isn't dumb...it means they've not thought it out. They haven't thought about the downsides, only the upsides. Again, they need to put themselves in someone else's shoes.

Think about it, if you did NOT have precognition...wouldn't you think it sounds neat? To be able to predict the future, and see what's coming?
