[The Doc's video today is prefaced by a little precautionary message.]

Everyone, stay away from the floodwater. I'd tell you the sort of water and vector-borne diseases you could get but you probably want to take my word for it. If you have come in contact with the water, I'd recommend seeing me for a checkup.

[After that Public Service Announcement, Kiriko motions to a book in his lap. It's a Russian history book he managed to take from the library some time ago, and around him are a few modern ones he's received over time. It appears his Russian has gotten quite good.]

You know... I've been reading these a lot, lately. The world history is more or less the same as what I learned when I was younger...

But... [He laughs nervously.] It's weird. I can't bring myself to read past when I'm from. What if I find out someone I know is dead, or we lost the war? Or worse?

[He understands now how Elizabeth must have felt when he mentioned England. He realizes he shouldn't have done it, now.]

I mean, for most of you, it's probably no big deal. You already know.

[He closes the books, and puts them to the side.]

I don't think I want to.

He's gone... Again.

[The feed cuts off without anything else. Those who know what Cross means will understand.]

 [The video only gets turned on by mistake, because Elizabeth is clearly not paying attention. She'd just been fiddling with the thing in idleness.

The video feed is pretty evident of that. Her nose was in a book, and yes it was completely in Latin but it was on one of her favourite texts, the works of Thomas Moore, so she didn't care. It was something to read. She was sprawled out on the restored falls of the convent like a little girl. Laying on her stomach, one leg swinging through the air, her shoes kicked off somewhere near her as she read. Completely undignified.

She looked up when she heard the beep of the device, frowning for a second, before beaming earnestly. No one could ruin this for her right now.]

The convents been restored, but I found this [taps the side of the book] I'm not moving from here, beyond taking books and some of the candles and matches, are they called? That I found. I haven't looked much. [and she sighs like she just got a kiss from a lover. She's so utterly content right now, this place, it feels like home. It has that warm cloistered feel.] 

[The static is almost overwhelming, a shock of noise on the network blending with the faint yelp of a teenage girl. One can hear some kind of struggle, but it seems to be between the girl and the PDA.] Is this -- [Another crack of static, followed by silence.] ...

Uhm..

[She clears her throat, audibly preparing herself for something. The device seems so foreign and formal, and her tone reflects that.] Hell-oooooooo?! [Or not.] Hello?! Hey! Is this thing on!? Look, I'm lost! I'm not supposed to be here! My name is Ty Lee, I'm from the Fire Nation, and if you find me, I live at-- [a pop.] Agh! Does this thing work? Uhh.. !

[A light crackle. She seems to be fiddling with the device. This proves to be a bad idea, as suddenly, a large beep sounds off. It echoes.] AAH! Okay, okay! Sorry! Gosh! I just need directions! Who am I talking to anyway?! Hello? Hello!?

[There is a pause at first, then a strong voice with a strange way of speaking follows, and commands attention without needing to demand it with exact words.]

I would know how I came to be in this realm, this is neither Asgard nor Midgard, nor any world I have seen before. If any have information, it would be greatly welcomed, and the location of the one known as Loki is crucial to me.

[A pause and he sighs.] Brother, if you are within this realm, you will come to me immediately. We have things we must discuss in person. [He isn't sure what else to say, or even if he's being heard by anyone, talking into this contraption, so he finally just ends it there.]

[Not that there's much to see of Raven on the video, aside from the slightly tattered coat under blue cloak and shadowed cowl. She's also examining the new flowers.]

I suppose in her mind, it makes a twisted kind of sense--bloody April rain, leads to body-part May flowers.

[Nope, someone's not actually all that bothered by this.]

[Alma's looking thoughtful when he turns his PDA on. He's got a question for you, Nesreca.]

Can anybody tell me what school's like?

[Lin appears for the second time on the network, looking significantly better than before. The blood on her clothes has faded to slight stains, her frostbite has been reduced to light scars, and her eyes are bright and full of life again. However, being alive has done nothing for her mood. She glares at the screen sourly.]

I read that stupid information package of yours. I'm surprised I actually believe that crap.

[She sighs.]

It's Mayuzumi Lin. Pleasure to meet you.

[That wasn't said with an ounce of sincerity.]

So. In this kind of situation, it's important to share resources. Do we have some kind of... schedule? For who does what, and who gets what? I'll put in my share as long as everyone else puts in theirs.

Look, I don't like any of you, either. I'm not here to be anybody's friend.

But if any of you hide something from me... You're going to pay. Are we clear?

[The feed ends abruptly.]

[ this time when Tyki turns on the feed he looks even more bored than before. ] There really isn't that many forms of entertainment here, are there? Apart from blood showers and the like.

I guess that means we just have to make our own amusement. I don't suppose anyone has a pack of cards somewhere.


[ he's about to shut the screen off when he remembers he has one more things to address; ]
