[looks like it's revenge of the anon text again! but this time the texter isn't going for a troll question.
no, it actually looks like he or she is going to tell a story.]
There exists a story of Yggdrasil...a large, holy ash tree. It has four stags that chew on its leaves and a rather sneaky squirrel that runs up and down its trunk. Its branches extend far beyond heaven and its three roots go far into other places. A gathering place for the gods to do their business.
This tree sounds like a wonderful thing but there are deadly creatures. The squirrel spreads gossip, the stags chew the leaves and there are horrible serpents in the lower levels.
So my question for today is a bit of a different one. Who has seen something that seems beautiful at first but becomes ugly later? What did you do with this thing? |

[well today looks like it going to start off rather nicely. it's quite - no weird events from everyone's favorite ghost girl, no invading army from the other side. all in all a rather nice day in Nesreca.
shame it seems, thanks to the video feed suddenly clicking on, that someone has decided to sleep in on this very nice day.
Dainn is passed out on his bed on top of the covers oddly enough, though that cloak he wears all the time pretty much doubles as one, and is dead (or more dead) to the world. he's even snoring a little bit. not exactly the picture of gracefulness but the Immortal didn't really care all that much. it was hard enough to sleep on a bed and he didn't know how humans did it.
the feed continued to record the sleeping Immortal before it's suddenly pushed over by something. aside from Dainn's snoring, there's silence before a rapid click-clicking noise is heard off screen. it's kind of like someone tapping a polished surface with sharp nails.
the noise stops for a second before the device is moved by...something. whatever it is drags the device onto the bed with a thump, which is enough to wake Dainn with a rather undiginifed snort. he eyes the device with some measure of annoyence before speaking. it seems like he's addressing whatever is controlling the feed.]
Grew bored, did we? I wouldn't be surprised. I do not know how humans sleep on these things....
[and then he turns his attention onto the camara itself, managing a tiny smile after yawning.]
And how is everyone today? It seems like awhile since I spoke to anyone on this.
[those anon texts totally don't count. totally.] |
|
[are you guys sick of the memories being posted on the network yet? well either way, here's one more. it opens up with the sound of someone screaming.] ( Sealed Away )[a little while later Dainn's voice drifs through the device. he sounds calm but he was managing to keep his cool for the moment.] Well well...wasn't that a blast from the past? Although I would have liked it if whoever was diving into my memories pick out a more happier one next time. Just a thought, okay? [yeah. he's not happy about that one being aired.] |
|
[oh look boys and girls, it seems someone is abusing using the anon text once again. but their question is a little different than the last one.]
Why do you exist?
[sometimes there was a point in making people think there was more than one of them, after all. but this was something Dainn was curious about. let's see how they answer since they didn't have to choose death this time...] |
|
[the feed opens up to the sound of someone coughing loudly. Dainn is leaning against the door of his room with one hand firmly covering his mouth in an attempt to keep the noise down and failing. he's pale - more so than usual - and it seems like he's going to pass out soon.
the Immortal moves away from the door, slowly making his way to the bed when he spots the device recording him. he's surprised that he was seen - how much, would they connect it to what he was? - before sighing and sitting down, bowing his head slightly.]
Please...could someone help me...?
[yeah, he did not sound like he usually did at all. gone was the calm if slightly smug tone and instead Dainn sounded tired, desprate, and a little scared.
....really, he hoped it was enough to get someone to come "help". the shadow could use a pick me up. some of the people here...their blood did smell good, after all.]
[ooc: for anyone who wants to "help" out Dainn by giving him some of their blood to drink!] |
|
[when the video starts, it catches Dainn outside, hiding in the shade. he's staring at his arms. to a normal person they look fine, although one might wonder why he's chosen to wear long-sleeves and a cloak in this weather.
to Dainn, however, the sleeves are torn and the skin underneath is burnt black and peeling. his whole body is burning and he can feel it - not the agony he expected it to be but a sizzle, like a reminder.
Dainn isn't aware that the video is on and it catches him speaking. unlike when he's spoken before, he sounds strange. almost like he's scared...]
I don't understand. I'm in the shadows...I should be...I shouldn't be burning like--
[the Immortal looks up sharply and stares into the distance. no...that can't be...]
Durathror...? You...?

[here residents of Niteo, have a text from an anonymous troll person. what, he's curious what you hero types would think of this.]
If you were given the choice to leave this place at the cost of having to kill one person you cared about here, would you leave or stay?
And there is no way around it. To leave one person must die.
Your answer is?
[ooc: as a note, Dainn's responses will be anonymous texts until said otherwise.]
|
|
[Dainn sounds rather cheerful when he speaks up and he doesn't look to bad for someone who was fighting. oddly enough, there doesn't seem to be a scratch on him.]
Humm...well, that was something I didn't expect to happen as soon as I got here. Quickly going to war with one another....[man, you humans were so dumb.] Is everyone alright? It'd be a shame if anyone was killed.
...oh, before I forget...is there a graveyard around here? I'd like to know, if no one minds. |
|
[the feed flicks on and Dainn smiles for the camera. he looks fairly calm for someone who just found himself in another world but the Shadow Immortal knew that there wasn't much point in panicking. besides, a friendly smile always seemed to win over humans quickly.]
Well well...this wasn't where I expected to end up! Would anyone be so kind to tell me where I am? It seems something...unfortunate happened here.
[he would find out what was going on and come up with a way to get back. and if not...well, he could just keep himself amused with the humans here.]
Thank you.
