[when the video starts, it catches Dainn outside, hiding in the shade. he's staring at his arms. to a normal person they look fine, although one might wonder why he's chosen to wear long-sleeves and a cloak in this weather.

to Dainn, however, the sleeves are torn and the skin underneath is burnt black and peeling. his whole body is burning and he can feel it - not the agony he expected it to be but a sizzle, like a reminder.

Dainn isn't aware that the video is on and it catches him speaking. unlike when he's spoken before, he sounds strange. almost like he's scared...]

I don't understand. I'm in the shadows...I should be...I shouldn't be burning like--

[the Immortal looks up sharply and stares into the distance. no...that can't be...]

[She knows what she is not the only one affected by this strange occurrence. Because what she has caught in the corner of her eye has put her at an edge -- even more because she knows what she is seeing is impossible, is the absolute worst.]

My lord... who are you talking to?

[Because she's never seen him shaking, not even before battle.]

[he jumps when he hears Elizabeth's voice. seems she caught him off guard.]

I'm...it's my sister...she's...[oh he was avoiding telling people that they could burn to death and why he had not seen her death it still...]

She's supposed to have died...not here now.

[she's careful around him, watching him. For the most part she keeps her distance.]

... I think, this is... one of that foul child's tricks again. For I am seeing things also that are not possible of here and now.

[No scared boys, groaning as they died in her colours. She twitched her head a little, trying to clear her mind of that slow glint of metal in the corner of her eye.]

[it's probably a good idea that she stays back. Dainn actually sounds angry when he speaks again.]

It better be just be a trick. My sisters should not be some child's playtoys!

[but then he calms down after a minute.]

Are you seeing things as well...?

[She has nothing to say that, but she understands, she wouldn't even wish this place on Mary.

Still her face is calm, blank as she speaks.]

Soldiers. My dead soldiers, bearing my colours and my house's emblem... Little more then boys and [she draws a shaky breath.] the execution I may still face. It's how I know it is not real. To see such things, it means I am home.

[he suddenly sits down, pulling at his cloak so it covered the burns.]

You see death in your future? [no no...just because you're mad doesn't mean you should troll someone more than usual.] I'm sorry.

Death is in my past and no doubt in my future, it is what it is, and there is no need to be sorry for it. I'm royalty. [she might of shrugged it off if she was another woman. But she bore such things with a stiff back and a straight face.

Which was how she stepped forward, offering him her hand. If he wanted to take it.] Let me help you. If the sun hurts you, we should get you away shouldn't we?

Most human beings I know are afraid of dying.

[he stands up himself, not wanting to reveal what would happen if he touched her.] It would probably be best. Don't know why I came out in the first place....

I am too, but only dying before my work is done. [It doesn't sound so awful though, it sounds like the peace she knows is never going to be hers again.]

This place likes to warp them mind, believe me.

Haha...you sound like someone I once knew.

[he sighs quietly.] I wish this place would leave my sisters out of it. Seeing them again is a delight but not like this.

No doubt, there are many people such a me who have great weights to carry.

[there's a tired smile in return.] I wish my country would be left out of this. But that child cares little for us and that which we hold dear.

[the Immortal rubs his eyes. it was way to bright out and he was already annoyed.]

I wish she did. There are some memories that I'd rather not have brought up.

[not that it really mattered. he couldn't feel anything after all.]

[she swallowed down, fighting the urge to turn her head and stare at the hooded execution she could see out of the corner of her eye. Not really. People were not killed like that here.]

We all have such things that ought to stay buried. But she likes to play, that is all there is to it.

[he himself was trying not to stare at something else he could see besides his sisters. the one place he hated, the one place he was scared of going back to.]

It is a game I do not want to play. [the shadow was used to being the one in control. not having it was like being sealed away again.] But it seems we're stuck.

It shouldn't be a game at all, forcing us to endure these kinds of things. I save nightmares as punishments for a reason.

[She wished she could comfort him some way, though she did not think it was a good idea at the moment.] Nothing to it but being brave and ruining her fun.

[shadow_possession]

[no it wasn't. comfort from a human being when he was stressed would probably cause him to snap.]

If fear is the goal of her game, then it would ruin it to not be afraid. I normally do not like spite but since she's using my family against me, it's only fair. [his sisters and the place he feared. those two crossed the line and when Dainn was crossed, it got ugly fast.]

Such is my thinking as it stands. Spite is an awful motivator. I do not think of it like though, I like to think of it merely as being strong for it's own sake.

[shadow_possession]

It's a kind of motivation that works. But being strong is another can of worms I do not feel like opening today.

[and then he laughs a little.]

You do not have to wait outside with me. I'll make it inside on my own.

[She gave him another look over, just to make sure he was alright.]

I'm....[no wait, take a deep breath before you answer Dainn. she's dead...all three of them were gone and the burns weren't killing him.]

I'm fine...I'm seeing something that shouldn't be there, that's all.

It's...bothersome, I have to say.

And unfortunately, she gives us the time to get over feeling annoyed and bothered by her playfulness.

Mmm...[he takes a deep breath.] I shouldn't be as bothered as I am right now. I just don't like the idea of her using my sisters against me.

Unfortunately it's a thing she loves to do, to use family against us, if at all possible.
