[The feed turns on as it's dropped, showing Kanda outside in the cold, trench coat being his only means of protection from the chilly weather. But Kanda doesn't even seem to notice that he's dropped his PDA or that it's recording. Or, if he does, then he doesn't acknowledge it.

He's just staring at something in front of him, completely horrified. Obviously what's in front of him is enough to shake even him.]

But- What- [He moves to walk over to whatever it is, nearly tripping over the PDA in the process. That finally catches his attention and he looks down, quickly covering it with a gloved hand and turning it off.]

You know it's always best to start at the beginning. [He reaches up and gives Kanda's sidelock a light tug.]

Where else do you start your own story? [Doubtful the Allens appreciate it and Lavi's been avoiding them like the plague.]

[Beginning where? Sometimes he forgets what he's told just Allen and told to all of them.]

... I lost my healing ability after my fight with Alma at home. I'm no more different from you, now.

[Hnnngh.] Turning to stone...is what happened to Alma, when he finally passed.

[It might be best at some point to just tell everything again.

Lavi is quiet. Too quiet almost. He can't imagine either of the Almas being stone. It's just unrealistic to him. And it would have been Kanda in the other Alma's home that ended up stone.]

Don't be silly, you're always going to be special, yeah? [He accepts what he was told, honestly. Just...Kanda is different.]

[He can't. So Lavi and Allen are the only ones he can confide in for now.]

I'm not. If I drank with you, and we got wasted, I'd have a hangover. I never had one before, no matter how much I drank.

Even if that sounds like a good idea right now.

Lucky for us then I don't have enough alcohol left for the both of us to get wasted and hungover. [Sighs and runs a hand through his own hair.] And neither of us are doing that while Libitina is pulling people here.

[Lavi tugs on his hair again and goes back into Kanda's room to touch the corpse and try to get it to disappear. Then he'll call for Kanda to come back in.]

[Taking a deep breath before he's going back into his room. There's a definite, obvious relief in Kanda when he sees that the stone corpse is gone.]

[Lavi is peering out the window at his own corpse on the ground. It's his death on the Ark all over again. Falling into that nothingness as the last safe parts crumpled.]

Just looking at my own ghost.

[He turns around and looks at Kanda.]

Anything else you wanted to talk about?

[He wants to say something about that but he'll hold back.]

[Lavi rubs at his head.]

Sure? Want me to stay in case it comes back?
