[text] and then [accidental video]

[ One might easily identify this as a sign of a new user -- and new arrival -- given the extended period of slow, confused exploration of the PDA's miniature keypad conducted in almost pitch darkness. But if one were to guess who, in the midst of a baffled adjustment to one's unfamiliar surroundings, would have time to sit down and play with a weird piece of technology, those who know the white-haired arrival might not have guessed Allen Walker.
But really, messing with this peculiar thing and indulging his passing curiosity is all that's standing between him and panic. It's a fine distraction, really.
One that loses its sparkle when what amounts to a very fancy, miniaturized typewriter offers absolutely no answers.
In his frustration, Allen vents his opinion where he thinks it won't matter. ]
clever, but it's still rubbish
[ And presses something that he'll later learn is called 'enter' in a unique method revealed by a brief clip of unintentional video recording; by way of the toe of his boot connecting with the device as a white-haired young man kicks it in a fit of pique.
He can't have kicked it too hard, nor has it landed against anything too unforgiving, as it's still running a few moments before the video cuts out. ]

He makes sure he's out of his room before speaking.]
Alma passed in peace. It took me a while to recover from the fight before I could go back.
And shut up, I got back before I could change.
And then Kanda lets the bomb of Alma drop again and Allen's struck anew by it. By how unfair it is, how unfair all of it was, and Allen feels the corners of his eyes sting, turns his face away. ]
...And that belongs only to you two.
[ So you said, he thinks. He's pretty certain of that. ]
I'm sorry.
[video | private] 1/2
Yeah. [It's something you gave them. For that, he's forever grateful for.]
Mood swings. It's what they do.]
Really.
But there's suddenly a huff that sounds suspiciously like laughter, because somehow it just suits Kanda to abruptly veer off into accomplishing some kind of objective. That he had been peculiarly open at all had been novel. ]
I don't know. [ That has the sound of laughter in it, certainly. ] I meant to find that wheel, and found a cemetery.
WHAT ARE EMOTIONS.Time will definitely show that this place...hasn't exactly been kind to Kanda or his Emotional Walls of Steel™. They've been chipped away at during the long months he's been here, but...
...Allen just being here helps a great deal.]
Don't go anywhere. And don't fall in any graves. [He knows where you are, now, and he's definitely on his way.]
...What do you mean that's 'counter-productive'?! ]
What are you talking ab--
[ At which point Allen trips over a toppled headstone, and very nearly does just that, saving himself and, somehow, not managing to drop his PDA into a grave half-full of murky water. ]
...That's because you distracted me, straight-cut fringe.
Stopping to stare at his PDA. He's...okay, that was a little amusing.]
Smooth, beansprout.
...Even if that was almost simultaneously disastrous and hilarious (to anyone who was not named Allen Walker at some point in their lives). The aforementioned dusts off his hands -- ungloved for a change -- and locates flat ground a fair distance from any sudden drops into mud. ]
Anyway!
[ Change of subject!! ]
I've a few more questions. One of them has to do with a certain child with whom we're mutually acquainted. You more than me.
[ Alma. And no, Allen hasn't noticed his little slip, forgetting the more proper 'you and I' as opposed to 'you and me'. It's been a weird day. ]
[He's been here for nearly forever, he knows a couple of actual children and a few that definitely act like one.
Proper English what is that anyway.]
[video | private] 1/2
[ That Kanda might have become well-acquainted with any child that wasn't Alma is surprising enough; there's a point when imagination takes the kernel of an idea and runs off with it, and Allen's not sure he can handle the world-shattering concept of Kanda being good with kids. ]
[video | private] 2/2
Crisis averted. ]
I mean Alma, you vapid Ponytail!
[video | private] 1/2
[video | private] 2/2
...He's innocent. He knows nothing beyond the testing the Order put us through, and I'd like to keep it that way.
[Might want to see if you're dreaming because Kanda's sharing a lot today.]
And he lives with me.
Nothing forthcoming from him except for a flummoxed stare. No, he isn't surprised Alma lives with Kanda! ]
...
[ And, finally: ]
Aren't you a little more... talkative?
Someone has to tell you these things.
Stupid beansprout.
[ And, because the amended statement to follow is necessary with Kanda: ]
Aside from anything to do with sprouts, I mean.
Where in the graveyard are you? [Because he's pretty close by by now.]
