I'll be blunt about this. The place in which most of us live is utterly miserable. I've seen more cheer in a graveyard.

I cannot be the only person who wishes to change this. I've some ideas, but I'd like to know anything else that people want before I start making plans.

Any offers for assistance would be greatly appreciated as well.

It's not hard, just remembering what chemicals are for what.

I'm assuming, just like everything else here, it's no longer that horrible process of using lye to scrub everything?

I don't even know what lye is, so....

It's a alkaline substance... that's horrible on the skin, when mixed with an acid.

... So I'm going to take that as a sign that they do not use it any more.

That's...yeah no. What we use is bad for the skin, but...way less.
