[Video] III
[You see this face? This is the face of someone who needs a great deal of alcohol.
Her hair is actually too big to fit on the video feed. Which means you only see the chicken that's stuck on the top when she bows her head. Which is often enough, because it weighs more then you think it would. Not that it's the only thing on it -- there's every other kind of terrible looking 'decoration' on it, too. She's got a head ache just thinking about brushing it all out.]
Has anyone had any luck getting theirs out?

The, Elizabeth Tudor...from England, the first? Queen of England around the late 16th century?
[And yet, it's a deadpan tone, despite the questions.]
I certainly wouldn't have chosen the yellow. Or the ribbons.
...I'm Raven.
no subject
[She smiled at that.]
Well met, Raven. I'd of picked white, or perhaps a black. It'd sit much nicer. And something else with your hair... [laughing] I'd do something else with my hair too. But I cannot brush it out.
no subject
...Thank you, Elizabeth.
I suspect we're stuck until Libitina gets bored with us. One of my friends, had very long hair...and I'm still not sure how she managed to keep it relatively neat.
[Well, it might be because Starfire is an alien, but she's not going to tell Elizabeth that, yet.]
Once we're back to normal, it's likely you'll be able to brush it out. And can probably get someone to help...Rebecca maybe, or Alma.
no subject
[That isn't this.]
Ah, hopefully. I'm used to my ladies assisting me with such things. Though I never understood why, my baby brother used to... [cleared her throat, trying not to think about Edward so much as what Edward did.] Used to like to brush my hair sometimes.

[Like Raven, who's a teen super-heroine from another dimension, with magic and half-demonic heritage. ^^ ALL over time and space.]
Aside from your having trouble with the new style, how are you settling in?
no subject
[Elizabeth would have no idea how to take that, the concept of aliens has not even begun to exist yet. Demons? Yes. Aliens? No, just no.]
Fine. Quite fine, his grace General Cross is most kind to me. So is my lord Lavi. I would not have settled so well had they not been. Not my usual company by any means, but.. [Her smile is sincere.] I like it much the same in any case.
no subject
[Well, Rae's alright then--half-demonic. ^^ Probably a definition of a 'witch', as long as you don't call her that.]
They do say that adversity makes for strange bedfellows, so we all seem to do what we can to get along.
[Ok, that brings a hint of a smile.] I'm sure with your experiences, you'll fit right in.

... Witch is worse. Witch is so much worse. Don't mention that. Ever. ]
That it does. It's not the first time it has happened to me, so for that I am at least prepared.
[She rose an eyebrow, smiling still.] My skills? Would those be of ruling, or of dealing with vast groups of people who don't necessarily get along?

[Elizabeth would truly be scandalized--Raven's legs are bare. Not that it's obvious right now, as she usually has the cloak to cover up, and a longer slightly tattered coat she scavenged. Besides, she'd agree about the 'witch'---it's been thrown at her at insult.]
The latter, I believe, if my recollection of what your reign is like, from my study of history. You're adapting well enough to the strangeness here.
no subject
It's not just an insult to Elizabeth, being a witch is a crime punishable by death. And she can think of no way worse way to go, except being executed by the axe.]
I spent longer then most people realise thinking I was going to die. Honestly, this is perfectly acceptable in comparison. She will not kill us, anything from there is a step up, frankly. That and there is this strange novelty of privacy. I own my own body again.
no subject
[There's a head-tilt, the braids annoying, in Raven's opinion--at the very least.]
It...is not a pleasant feeling at all, that anticipation of death. And as I said, I believe you'll adapt well in time, to all the strangeness.
no subject
No, it is not. [She shrugged] You adapt or you die. But I do try to make things as bearable as possible for all of us, there's adapting and there is thriving. I'd rather do the latter.
no subject
Agreed. Agreed wholeheartedly.
no subject
I think we are of a like mind. [She approves.]
