[Loki's certainly not impressed with his new accommodations, not one bit. He knew that he was about to fall, something just told him that he wasn't going to hold on, that he wouldn't get the answer from Odin that he so desperately needed to hear. So falling through the realms wasn't really unexpected in the end. But what he didn't expect was to survive at all. Much less survive, and end up here. But if he's stuck, for now, he might as well try to gather a bit of information. Ignorance is rarely bliss, in the end.]

This place certainly has it's questionable charm. Questionable being the keyword. I suppose this is when I humbly beg my fellow captives for information? I'll try to make it worth your while, in the future.

Have you found the apartment building yet?

I have indeed. Is that an easy enough location for you? It's terribly convenient.

[And there is one mortal teenager coming bounding down the stairs. She seems cheerful enough, but if you can read discreet body language, she's a mess of bottled rage and sadness, just waiting to explode when someone touches the cap. She's not very confident in herself (though she fakes it passably well), and there's a certain skittishness about her. She used to have Powers, as well, but Libitina stripped them from her and has left her essentially without a sense; Becca's well aware of the disadvantage she's been put at, but doesn't know how to cope with it.]

Hey~! What's your name? I'm Becca.

[Loki gains quite a bit from her stance, and body language, although he simply files it away and doesn't say a word about it now.]

Hello, Becca. You may call me Loki. It's kind of you to take the time to meet me here.

Are you from Earth? Or somewhere else?

It's good to know that young people still care, and wish to aid those in need.

[He shakes his head.] I'm from a bit further away than Earth, I'm afraid.

[No, she believes that's a crock of shit. But it's the right way to get people to view her positively, which is the first step towards getting them to do what she wants. She's an amateur manipulator, and if she knew what you're really like, she would instantly hero worship you and willingly be your pawn if you'd teach her to be like you. Takes one to know one--you can probably read what she's trying to do like a book. She doesn't realise that, of course.]

But you've heard of it? Have you been there?

I think that it is. But few hold to that these days.

[He honestly doesn't care a bit about what some random mortal child desires or believes. And if she thinks that she's going to trick the trickster, or manipulate the king of lies she's foolish beyond measure. He'll play along nicely though, until he has reason to do otherwise.]

Oh, of course. I've been there a time or two. Never for long stays, though.

Well, this is a version of it. Do you know about alternate realities?

Not excessively, although I'm aware that they exist.

Basic concept is enough. There's a LOT of them, and Libitina can reach across them and bring people here across time and space. Time where you came from is paused, if she decides to give you back, you'll go back to exactly when and where you came from.

She can bring people from the same 'reality' but different points in time. Or she can bring people from different realities completely, which is why I asked if you know about Earth. There's realities out there where 'Earth' isn't even a thing.

The creepiest thing is when she brings people from realities that are close enough that people think she's brought their friends, except there's little errors and differences that make it weird. I've got some friends that are in that situation.

[Loki leans against the nearest surface, listening quietly. He hardly needed a lesson in realms and alternate realms, that's nothing new or exciting to him. But the best information can be gained with patience. And she's not proving herself useless, so far at least. He's actually gaining some easy information.]

I like to help out~. So...that explains what here is...next I guess is where here is. This is Russia, the city's called Nesreca but that probably won't mean anything to you. Across the river is Credinta, and don't go over there. There's a prison that nullifies magic and everything and you can't get out unless they decide to release you. Which they won't. And nobody over here is ever willing to mount a rescue--I tried when one of my friends got caught, but nobody'd go with me, and I'm not a fighter. If you learn Russian, you can fake being from somewhere else, but they'd better not get the idea you came from this direction. You'd have to sneak all the way past town and enter it from the other side.

[And he smiles in response to the way she lights up. A mortal child might not be the most ideal of allies, but they often hear more than most.]

It nullifies magic? How dreadful. It sounds like a terrible place indeed, and what a shame that none would assist you in your time of need. It is a pity. [A sigh, like it's the most horrible thing he's heard ever.] Is your companion still trapped there?

[You don't even have to really try with this one. She's already decided you ~understand~ her with that comment.]

He got released by a man we have on the inside over there. He's who all our supplies come through, too, so don't piss him off or get him exposed if you're over there.

Of course, there's worse things that could happen. Libitina sometimes takes people's powers away permanently.

[And her 'hypothetical warning' carries enough angst to light up a neon sign that announces that one's personal.]
