➇th Letter Home ✉ Video
[The Doc's video today is prefaced by a little precautionary message.]
Everyone, stay away from the floodwater. I'd tell you the sort of water and vector-borne diseases you could get but you probably want to take my word for it. If you have come in contact with the water, I'd recommend seeing me for a checkup.
[After that Public Service Announcement, Kiriko motions to a book in his lap. It's a Russian history book he managed to take from the library some time ago, and around him are a few modern ones he's received over time. It appears his Russian has gotten quite good.]
You know... I've been reading these a lot, lately. The world history is more or less the same as what I learned when I was younger...
But... [He laughs nervously.] It's weird. I can't bring myself to read past when I'm from. What if I find out someone I know is dead, or we lost the war? Or worse?
[He understands now how Elizabeth must have felt when he mentioned England. He realizes he shouldn't have done it, now.]
I mean, for most of you, it's probably no big deal. You already know.
[He closes the books, and puts them to the side.]
I don't think I want to.

Re: --->Action?
[Kiriko opens the door and allows her in enthusiastically. Two chairs are already set up, and Kiriko takes a seat on one and waits attentively. Magic healing, holy crap! Tea may or may not be brewing in the background.]
[Action]
Doc...
[Sorry, she's not one to sit. Instead she's going to start by levitating--he might've seen that before during their ghost-hunts.]
As I mentioned, a competent magician could likely explain and sense this too, but you're likely to be one of the first on any scene, so you should know what you're looking at.
Re: [Action]
Re: [Action]
So, the technical is likely too difficult to explain, but give me 60 seconds, then you can check my vitals. It...should seem like I'm in a coma--but I'm fine, I promise.
[Laying down now, she closes her eyes--her breathing evening out as she settles. Not long after, she levitates again, resembling a magician's act at this point. She's still, her eyes closed, breathing like one meditating. Feel free to, within reason, check to see if she's dead--god knows she's pale enough already to be so.]

Re: [Action]
[He stares at Raven in surprise for a couple of seconds before he forces himself to snap out of it. Stop it! If she wakes up and sees him all red-faced, she might get the wrong idea...]
[Her breathing is so calm as she floats. He really does wonder if she's alright. He reaches out to touch a pulse point but then draws his hand back. Nope, nope, this is awkward for some reason. Maybe he should have gone to her room, after all.
...Come on! It's just a patient. Raven might be dead! It's well after the minute Raven gave him before he finally checks for a heartbeat. For a total of three seconds he places his fingers against her neck to check her pulse, and then pulls his hand back as if she stung him. Yup, she's still alive! His work is done!
He sits down quietly and tries to pretend he didn't just make a fool of himself. At least she couldn't have possibly seen that.]
Re: [Action]
Her pulse is barely felt, but it is there. She just resembles a coma--someone levitating and in a coma. Totally normal. Explaining the mystical aspects would likely just...boggle him a bit. It can come in time...as about 5 minutes or so pass, before she takes a deep breath, floating back to the bed and 'waking up', as it were.]
I...haven't had to use it yet. It's what I'd resort to for serious injuries--so I mean, I should probably monitored if possible while in it... More basic stuff I can heal more easily.
