[She hopes that people will take pity on her and help her because she's fifteen and pathetic-looking. That and her massive entitlement complex, but that's another matter in and of itself.]

[She blushes, but turns her back to him. Then she hikes her shirt and sweater up, displaying her shoulder blades to him. There's several burns that are fresh and angry on her back and up near her neck.]

[It takes his a moment to realize exactly what's happened. He stares for one second, then two, eyes going impossibly wide as he wrenches his body to face the other direction.

[He freezes in his his tracks, eyes going very wide much like his brothers. Even his tail halts it's usual flicking about and goes stark still. There is a girl with Yukio in their room...SHIRTLESS!

It looks like Yukio really does get all the girls.]

[Suddenly he jabs a finger at the both of them. Unfortunately he's not as polite as his twin.]

WHAT THE HELL?! SHE'S...YOU...THAT GIRL...DAMN IT WHAT IS THIS?!

[At this point to add to the chaos even further a small black and white cat pokes his head into the doorway. Kuro was just a few steps behind Rin and mews curiously. "What is it Rin?"]

[Becca squawks as soon as she hears Rin come in, and she quickly pulls her shirt back on, wincing as she drags it across the worst of the burns in her haste to just get it on before he sees. She spins around again and takes a deep breath, instinctively reaching up to press her hands down over her heart before she has a panic attack.]

[He rushes the words out at the same time as Becca, face bright red and halfway to panic himself.]

[He's also turning pretty red cause this is all pretty scandalous walking in on his brother and a girl.]

[Becca's breathing starts getting laboured again, and she looks to Yukio to do the talking while she tries simply to keep herself from having a panic attack.]

[Yukio looks between Rin and Becca, swallowing hard and forcing himself to chill out. He just got her calm again. Do not want another panic attack.]

[Oh yeah.Her back did look messed up in that quick glance he got and Yukio is a doctor...Good job Rin assuming things like that. He lowers his hand and stuff the both of them in his pockets. Now he's really blushing for letting his mind wander off the deep end like that. ]

[She winces when he confirms that he had indeed seen her injuries. But she's calming down now that he's not yelling. She gulps down a bit more air, then nods awkwardly.]

[Yukio sighs and gestures loosely to his brother.]

Yeah. I'm his brother. His older brother. [He jabs his thumb proudly at his chest, tail swishing back and forth.]

[That swishing tail gets her attention. Her mouth falls open, and she stares.]

[Oops. He's gotten so use to no one caring that he hasn't been bothering to hide it. Time to be nervous. He grabs his tail near the end and holds it out of sight behind his back. An exaggerated stupid smile spreads over his face.]

Where we come from, it's not uncommon for some people to have some demonic lineage or the physical alterations that come with it.
