[A teenage Japanese boy with messy black hair is sitting outside under the overhang of what's left of a ruined old building. He's wearing a black and white school uniform of some kind. There is a black and white cat with little horns and two tails sitting next to him peering at the screen. The boy scratches his head.]

Uhhh...So any of you guys know what's going on? I wasn't out here last night. That ghost must be up to stuff again.

[He grumbles the last bit to himself and then switches off the communicator.]

[No one's mentioned ghosts yet, at least, not that she can remember. Those first days were hectic, to say the least, and...well...she was getting most of her information from Naruto.]

No one told ya? Haven't seen you around here so ya must be new. There's this ghost kid that brought us here. She does all kinda annoying stuff.

[Naruto and Sasuke, most of the others, they had mentioned Libitina or alluded to her in some way, but no one had suggested she was...a ghost.

Momentarily at war with herself, she presses her lips together determinedly and peers into the camera.]

Are you sure? There's probably some rational explanation for it. Ghosts don't really exist, after all.

[Her tone turns hopeful near the end, as if asking Rin to please confirm it.]

Yeah that's what they say. Ghosts are real. I've seen them before. Dealing with ghosts is one of the jobs exorcists do.

[He jabs a thumb proudly at himself and grins.]

I'm gonna be one when I get done with school.

Your bro is on screen, Rin, and Yukio's... not looking too good. Granted, he's much better off than he was just a few weeks ago, but Rin wasn't around to see the height of his brother's self-neglect. Yukio's thinner than he was when Rin saw him last (but not gaunt, at least) and his hair's starting to get shaggy. Seems like some time has passed.

He's looking at Rin with something like disbelief, expression cautious.]
