[Becca stares down at the device in her hands, a puzzled expression on her face.]

Is this Hell? But... I'm not dead yet. I've got another week yet... Or did I forget my last days on earth? I don't...get it. I don't get it at all. Where is everybody? And what do I do now?

[She hopes that people will take pity on her and help her because she's fifteen and pathetic-looking. That and her massive entitlement complex, but that's another matter in and of itself.]

[She opens her eyes, taking deep breaths to try to stay calm.]

No...never...

I didn't see it coming and now I can't see anything? I can't see anything??

[Her breathing starts getting erratic, like she's having a panic attack.]

[doctor_dragoon]

[Oh, eff. He reaches out to place a hand on her shoulder, trying to draw her attention.]

Hey, take deep breaths.

I have to be able to see... I have to be able to see...

[She tries taking deep breaths, but it's getting hard to breathe. She can feel her heart going batshit with panic already.]

[doctor_dragoon]

[The other hand goes to her other shoulder and his tone gains a stern edge as he tries to gain her attention.]

Becca-san, look at me.

[She whimpers when he touches her shoulder, but she dutifully looks up at his face. She's still struggling to breathe, but she's doing her best.]

I have to be able to see...

[doctor_dragoon]

[Hold her gaze and giving clear instructions.]

Take deep breaths. In through your nose and out through your mouth. Breathe with me.

[She's trying, but breathing is getting harder and harder. She reaches up to press down on her heart, as if that will calm it down.]

[Now he's worried that she might have some sort of preexisting condition.]

Becca-san, you're going to be okay.

[pencilpremonition]

[Bingo. Not that she's ever gone to a doctor to know about it.]

I can't see... I can't see ahead... I don't know what to do...

[doctor_dragoon]

[Oh, now he's going to have to fret about that. It's doubtful that he has anything in his supplies to help with heart problems aside from some aspirin.]

There's nothing stopping you from going on as a normal person like the rest of us. You don't need to see ahead.

I've always seen ahead...ever since I was itty bitty... I don't know how to be normal... I can't cope...

Yes, you can. I'll help you.

[pencilpremonition]

[She gasps for air, but slowly manages to calm herself down. Once she can feel her heartbeat returning to normal, she moves to throw her arms around him for a clingy hug.]

[doctor_dragoon]

[He holds himself fairly stiffly, wobbling a bit where he's crouched, but quickly regaining his balance. Eventually he places a tentative hand on her back, patting lightly.]

Keep breathing.

I've never not passed out when that happens...

The effects of a panic attack can be lessened with support.

[She sighs, shaking her head.]

I always thought I was better than that.

Panic attacks have nothing to do with how "strong" a person might be. I've experienced them myself.

No way. You're too cool to have panic attacks.

[doctor_dragoon]

[He chuckles lightly.] I wasn't very cool when I was younger.

No way. You're totally cool.

[Time for some blushy face.]

[He's blushing! That's so cute! She should say something. Except...now she's blushing, too. She looks down at her lap and fidgets.]
