[Rin is standing in the make shift kitchen room of the apartment building. He has a pan in one hand with rather tasty looking food sizzling inside of it. It looks like there's fish involved and he's grinning proudly.]

Oi. Yukio! Come up here and get some food. It's fish! Happy birthday!

[Kuro bounds out of nowhere up onto Rin's shoulder and mews excitedly. "Happy birthday Yukio!"]

Oh, and I guess if anyone else wants some you can come get it. I got some extra fish. All you new guys should know this is the kitchen so don't wreck it. There isn't anywhere else to cook unless ya want to start a fire outside.

[And he turns off the video.]

[Oh, Rin, you even got Yukio his favorite type of food! Best brother.

He sighs as if exasperated, but he's smiling.]

It's your birthday too, Nii-san.

Yeah whatever. Guess I'll just have to eat some fish too. Better get up here before it gets cold.

[He shakes his head, chuckling lightly.]

Alright, I'm coming, I'm coming.

Good. I'll wait for ya to eat.

[Cause dude it's your birthday dinner.

Kuro mews in Rins ear. "I want some too!" The boy gets out three plates and spoons out portions for Yukio, Kuro, and himself.]

[Yukio comes into the makeshift kitchen a few minutes later, sniffing appreciatively at the delicious smells wafting through the air.]

That smells great.

[Taaaaaaaaaking a guess from the other thread that it's both of their birthdays so. One, twins (Awesome!) and two, presents! Lavi takes a moment longer to gather up something from his room, paper and a pencil and writes something on two sections. The redhead rips the paper in half, folds the pieces up and writes their names on one or the other.

Then there shall be a knock on the door!] Oi~ Birthday boys! Open up.

[Rin opens up the door with a grin on his face. He knows that voice. It's the eye patch guy.]

Hey Lavi. Want some fish?

[Cause he's got plenty more fish in the pan and he worked hard to get it.]

[Yukio peeks through the open doorway from where he's sitting at the table with his fish.]

Hello, Lavi-san.

[Grins at the both of them.]

Only if there's enough to spare, yeah? I know we got a lot of hungry mouths around here. But I got something for the both of you.

[Okay, not much of something but you guys gave him no warning! Handing Rin one slip of paper and Yukio the other. Inside in Lavi's scrawl is a promise to take the both of them to Credinta before the new year. Since...they might not have gotten to it yet.]

Know it's not much but you guys didn't give a heads up. [And...sorry if some of his cheer seems a bit fake, missing Allen a bit.]

[Rin takes the paper and motions at the pan sitting behind him.]

You're one of the mouths ya know. Just eat it.

[Now unfolding his paper and staring at what it says a second. Then he throws his hand up in the air excitedly. He's been wanting to go over there for almost as long as he's been here.]

[Yukio's sitting at a rickety table with his birthday fish. He smiles and stands when Becca arrives.]

Thank you, Becca-san.

You'll have to share your present...but since you're sharing a room, that shouldn't be hard.

[She offers out a rolled up piece of notebook paper, carefully torn out of one of her notebooks from home.]

[Rin and Kuro are also sitting at the table and the boy waves when he sees Becca come in. Since Yukio is getting up he does like wise and follows him.]

[Rin is going to let Yukio take that paper and just peer over his shoulder to see what it says.]

Want some fish?
