[The video begins with a bang - quite literally. His handgun extended, Kiriko has calmly shot a deer that had been fleeing deep in the woods. The small animal crumples to its knees, and Kiriko nears it and shoots it again in the head. Storing his gun, the young man kneels down next to the corpse with a half smile.]
Sorry, little guy. Wish things were better for all of us.
[He turns to the PDA and his smile becomes more cheerful. After Yuri's departure, he's felt a little lonely, and wanted to try and solve that.]
Good morning, everyone. I'll be back in a bit, why don't we share a meal together? I know it's hot as hell, but we shoul-
[Kiriko's expression suddenly hardens as a fog seems to cloud the screen. He hadn't noticed it approaching. He stands, and his eyes search the area... What's that smell? Is that...]
..Wait.
[There is a roar as a burning tree crashes down in the distance, and startled, Kiriko jumps. As if watching the ranks of an enemy army draw closer, the boy becomes deathly serious. He covers his mouth with a part of his shirt, an orange glow is reflected in his suddenly cold eyes. He stares ahead the same way a soldier watches death.]
Fire...
[Abandoning his kill, the video clicks off as he begins running in the opposite direction.] |
|
If you still have your buckets, I suggest filling them up with water as a precautionary measure.
I'd also advise against staying outside for a long period of time. If you haven't noticed by now, there's a fire.
Itachi, can I hope to assume you know any suiton ninjutsu? |

[Becca flails in her sleep, and in doing so, knocks into her communicator and turns it on. She tosses and turns, whining and crying out in pure fear. Finally she wakes herself up, sitting up and screaming in terror. It takes a few moments for her to calm down enough to realise where she is, and she huffs in frustration. She draws her knees to her chest and starts to cry.]
Damn it, Stacy...leave me alone. It's been almost ten years, I don't know what you want from me. I'm sorry you died...Stacy I'm so sorry, I tried so hard...but you've gotta let me sleep in peace. I can't change the past, any more than I can change the future. I would've traded places with you if I could've, I swear. Stop haunting me.
Or at least have the decency to admit you're gloating. I've lost everything important to me, what more do you want? Or are you going to hassle me until you drag me down to Hell yourself? Damn it, Stacy...you were my best friend, I never wanted what happened to you. I wish I'd died that night instead of you but I can't... I can't...
I'm losing my mind... I'm losing my mind and you're watching and you're laughing, aren't you? And after all this time, you're still my best friend...you're the only one I've got here. It's not like anyone else here cares. Why would they? I'm fucking worthless without my powers...
[She gets up and goes over to the window, staring down at the flood waters below.]
Maybe I should just jump, huh? Wait till the water goes down...maybe I will. Or maybe I'll just go back to sleep and not run this time. What will you do to me if you catch a hold of me in my dreams? Will I die? It's nothing less than what I deserve, after what I did to you.
[retreating back to her bed]
Yeah...I think I'll try that... I give up, Stacy. You win. I won't run any more. |
|
[The Doc's video today is prefaced by a little precautionary message.]
Everyone, stay away from the floodwater. I'd tell you the sort of water and vector-borne diseases you could get but you probably want to take my word for it. If you have come in contact with the water, I'd recommend seeing me for a checkup.
[After that Public Service Announcement, Kiriko motions to a book in his lap. It's a Russian history book he managed to take from the library some time ago, and around him are a few modern ones he's received over time. It appears his Russian has gotten quite good.]
You know... I've been reading these a lot, lately. The world history is more or less the same as what I learned when I was younger...
But... [He laughs nervously.] It's weird. I can't bring myself to read past when I'm from. What if I find out someone I know is dead, or we lost the war? Or worse?
[He understands now how Elizabeth must have felt when he mentioned England. He realizes he shouldn't have done it, now.]
I mean, for most of you, it's probably no big deal. You already know.
[He closes the books, and puts them to the side.]
I don't think I want to. |
|
Russian lessons are cancelled for the rest of this week and most of next week.
Raven, you ready to go? Might need you to heal me first.
I'll finish the woodwork I started when the flood lets up.
[Private to Black Order members]
Heading down south this time with Raven, we'll be careful and head back when we find something. |

G-Guys--!? [the video is shaky, Ty Lee off camera, her surroundings almost too hard to make out. A loud bang! rings out, and Ty Lee yelps, the sound of swift, light footsteps sporadically sounding off. She's running, but she doesn't know where she's going.]
I-I came out here this morning to try and look at the books, but--! EEP! [the video seems to spin a full 360 degrees, upside-down then back again in mere seconds.] I can't figure out how to get out of here and there's somebody in here that isn't me!
HELP?!

[Lavi's device falls off of whatever it was set on and clatters to the ground on its side, turning on. He's outside in the sun, shirtless, and working on cutting wood.
In the background there are pieces of what looks like will be tables and chairs at some point. But for now they're rough pieces.
Lavi takes a break after cutting a dozen more logs in quarters, looking for the device.]I need a bag for you or something. [He picks it up and dusts the wood shavings off.]Anyone want to work on building some arm muscles? The planks I've got for the table and chairs are a bit uneven. I have a hand sander and a jack plane if anyone wants to help. Rin, do you want any of this wood for your cooking? I can cut it finer but I was thinking of maybe having a bonfire after the solstice in June. |

[There is a pause at first, then a strong voice with a strange way of speaking follows, and commands attention without needing to demand it with exact words.]
I would know how I came to be in this realm, this is neither Asgard nor Midgard, nor any world I have seen before. If any have information, it would be greatly welcomed, and the location of the one known as Loki is crucial to me.
[A pause and he sighs.] Brother, if you are within this realm, you will come to me immediately. We have things we must discuss in person. [He isn't sure what else to say, or even if he's being heard by anyone, talking into this contraption, so he finally just ends it there.] |
|
[Loki's certainly not impressed with his new accommodations, not one bit. He knew that he was about to fall, something just told him that he wasn't going to hold on, that he wouldn't get the answer from Odin that he so desperately needed to hear. So falling through the realms wasn't really unexpected in the end. But what he didn't expect was to survive at all. Much less survive, and end up here. But if he's stuck, for now, he might as well try to gather a bit of information. Ignorance is rarely bliss, in the end.]
This place certainly has it's questionable charm. Questionable being the keyword. I suppose this is when I humbly beg my fellow captives for information? I'll try to make it worth your while, in the future. |

[Lin appears for the second time on the network, looking significantly better than before. The blood on her clothes has faded to slight stains, her frostbite has been reduced to light scars, and her eyes are bright and full of life again. However, being alive has done nothing for her mood. She glares at the screen sourly.]
I read that stupid information package of yours. I'm surprised I actually believe that crap.
[She sighs.]
It's Mayuzumi Lin. Pleasure to meet you.
[That wasn't said with an ounce of sincerity.]
So. In this kind of situation, it's important to share resources. Do we have some kind of... schedule? For who does what, and who gets what? I'll put in my share as long as everyone else puts in theirs.
Look, I don't like any of you, either. I'm not here to be anybody's friend.
But if any of you hide something from me... You're going to pay. Are we clear?
